Situated on the shores of Pedersen Lagoon deep inside Kenai Fjords National Park, Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge and its surrounding cabins offer an unparalleled wilderness setting.
The main lodge features a beautiful dining room, where guests enjoy fresh and hearty meals made with gourmet flair, and a cozy lounge complete with sofas and a stove. Bookshelves in the lounge area offer chances to learn more about the surrounding flora and fauna, Alaskan natural history and the story of the lodge. The sixteen guest cabins are situated to either side of the main lodge and tucked into the forest. Each cabin has a view of Pedersen Lagoon but are almost completely hidden when seen from the lagoon. The main lodge and cabins are connected by a series of elevated boardwalks; this design was crafted with care to preserve the forest floor and minimize the lodge’s footprint.
Each cabin was built in a style similar to the main lodge: classic log cabin timbers and structure with warm and elegant finishes. Each cabin has at least two double beds with cozy linens, blankets and pillows. A small writing desk provides a place to jot down your thoughts or pen a quick postcard. A closet and boot rack help ensure that raincoats and boots are dry for the next day’s adventures!
On-demand heat and an attached and private bath area complete the interior amenities. Small, elevated decks with two rocking chairs are the finishing touch for your home-away-from home.
