A Note About Occupancy

In addition to our standard double occupancy, we also offer solo supplement, triple and quad pricing options for our Alaska adventure vacations. Requested solo accommodations, when available, are subject to a solo supplement fee; however, for a solo traveler interested in sharing accommodations with another same sex traveler, we will make every effort to pair you, and the solo supplement fee will be waived. Occasionally, pairing is not possible and a “forced solo” rate will apply during the Alaska vacation. If you are a solo traveler and you’d like to experience an Alaska vacation with Alaska Wildland Adventures, we will do all we can to have you join us!

A Note About Weather

Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge is located in pristine, remote Alaskan wilderness and is only accessible by boat. In rare circumstances, due to high winds, weather fronts or ocean conditions, we are unable to access the lodge at scheduled times. Alternative activities and accommodations have been planned for this uncommon occurrence and will be discussed with you when you check in at our Seward office if necessary.

Alaska State Fish and Game Bag Limits

Alaska Wildland Adventures and Kenai Riverside Fishing strictly adhere to all regulations pertaining to restrictions, harvest, and catch and release limits of all fish species as mandated by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. From time to time, we may establish even stricter company policies with regard to catch limits and catch and release if it is deemed to follow best practices for the continued sustainability of certain species. In these situations, company policy shall supersede state regulations, and these policies may be implemented at any time, even during the course of the current season, depending upon the species and the situation.

We believe this approach is in the best interest of the conservation and perpetuation of Alaska’s fish populations and the surrounding ecosystem upon which fish species depend. Upon booking a fishing trip with us, you agree to comply with these policies.

Important Disclosures for Our Guests

Alaska Wildland Adventures owns and operates the Kenai Riverside Lodge, Kenai Backcountry Lodge, Kenai Riverside Fishing Program and Kenai River Trips, and it operates the Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge and Kenai Fjords Sea Treks DBA Weather Permitting. It does not control certain other third-party entities which may provide goods and services for your trip, including, for example, air or other transportation companies, other lodging facilities, food service providers, and equipment suppliers. The costs and scheduling of travel, accommodations, and associated services, unless otherwise specified, are the responsibility of our guests, and any delays, cancellations, or other travel alterations affecting a guest’s AWA itinerary will be the sole responsibility of the guest. Alaska Wildland Adventures will not assume any additional costs and shall not be liable for any delay, damage, injury, death, or loss of any kind whatsoever due to the acts, omissions, or negligence of any third-party service or transportation providers.

A copy of our Participant Agreement and Guest Information Form will be supplied to each visitor shortly during the reservation process, and these forms must be completed and returned to our office in advance of the trip.

AWA reserves the right – prior to departure, in its good-faith discretion and in extreme circumstances that warrant it – to adjust pricing, programs, scheduled dates, and itineraries in the event certain conditions outside of its control threaten the health, security, and safety of its guests, employees, or property, including those caused by ‘force majeure’ events (including but not limited to war, acts of terrorism, pandemics and epidemics, civil strife, labor conflicts, and natural disasters), substantial changes to national or global economic environments, acts of governmental authorities, and any other conditions resulting in the complication, impracticability, or impossibility of undertaking certain or all AWA activities. In the event of a cancellation or major itinerary change due to such events, AWA will best assess the amount of available refund or credit toward a future trip with AWA. If a trip is cancelled in progress, the tour operator will best attempt to prorate a refund based on the number of days not complete. In any case, AWA cannot guarantee any refund amount due to cancellations beyond our control and recommends that all guests purchase travel insurance.

If any guests become ill during any point of the trip or lodge stay, AWA staff will follow its guest care protocols based upon the unique needs of the situation. AWA may require guests feeling under the weather to be seen by nearest qualified medical professionals and cleared by a physician before returning to the trip; costs and additional arrangements of medical care while on trip are the responsibility of our guests. We recommend travel insurance.
