All-Inclusive Fishing Trips
Welcome to the Kenai Riverside Fishing program at Kenai Riverside Lodge, your destination for incredible Alaska fishing experiences. Kenai Riverside Fishing is part of Alaska Wildland Adventures, a long-time operator of guided fishing trips since 1977. We fish from early June through late September, and our trips explore the world-famous Kenai River for freshwater species, like silver salmon, sockeye salmon, rainbow trout and Dolly Varden. We also offer special fishing offerings inside Resurrection Bay for halibut, king salmon and silver salmon. Whether you are a seasoned angler or a first time fisherman, we’ll put you on the fish!
Amazing Fishing Opportunities
With over a million salmon returning to the Kenai River each year, we’ve picked up a thing or two about their favorite haunts. While we focus on the upper Kenai River and Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, our guides follow the fish from the time they enter the river all the way to their resting place. Sockeye, silver, and rainbow trout fishing ebbs and flows across these 82 river miles, and our guides have a knack for the when-and-where that makes fishing the Kenai so spectacular. Optional upgrades to fish for halibut, silver and king salmon in Resurrection Bay out of Seward are an awesome saltwater fishing experience with incredible scenery and wildlife viewing as a bonus. Our guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and will outfit you with top-quality fishing equipment and gear to maximize your chances of fishing success!
Flexible Itineraries and Activities
Our itineraries are flexible to accommodate the needs and interests of your group or family. From groups that are 100% focused on fishing to those who want to mix in other activities such as hiking, sightseeing, or rafting, we can create an itinerary to match the interests of everyone in your party.
Our fishing itineraries are flexible to accommodate the needs and interests of your group. Regardless of the trip length you choose, your package includes round trip transportation from Anchorage to Kenai Riverside Lodge. We’ll pick you up in the afternoon of your arrival day and bring you to the lodge, and on your departure day, join us for breakfast and then we’ll take you back to Anchorage.
Depending on your chosen fishing package, on days 2 – 7 of your trip, you’ll fish up to eight hours per day with our friendly, professional guides. No matter what season your choose, we’ll maximize your fishing to make the most of your stay with us! Your fishing options will be scheduled in advance of your visit to ensure you’re getting a chance at your targeted species.
Below you’ll find a sample of our most popular 5 day/6 night itinerary. Your perfect fishing vacation can be customized from 2 day/3 night to 7 day/8 night+, and can include non-fishing days of hiking and rafting if you want to explore more of the Kenai Peninsula.
We'll pick you up in Anchorage between 2 and 3 p.m. (the exact time will be determined at the time of booking, depending on your pickup point). Enjoy the scenic ride to Cooper Landing and Kenai Riverside Lodge. Upon arrival, we'll give you an orientation and tour of our property as well as time to settle into your cabin. Enjoy dinner and then overnight in comfortable cabins, preparing for some great fishing action.
Your first day of fishing begins early (we're known for "first on the water") and starts with a hearty breakfast, hot coffee and a mug to go. Enjoy a full day of fly-fishing on the Kenai River, targeting sockeye salmon, rainbow trout and Dolly Varden. Our guides will show you their best spots and put you on this fish! Overnight at Kenai Riverside Lodge.
Head out for another day on the gorgeous Kenai River. Spend up to eight hours on the water. Relax in the evening on the riverside deck or in the wood-fired sauna. Overnight at Kenai Riverside Lodge.
Spend a final day fishing the Kenai again. We possess limited entry permits that allow us to fish the upper Kenai River in the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, and we're also permitted to fish the lower Kenai for king and silver salmon, depending on the time of year you visit. Or if you want a day off from fishing, go on a guided hike in Chugach National Forest, or see the Kenai River in a different way - aboard a raft! Overnight at Kenai Riverside Lodge.
Leave Cooper Landing this morning and head down to Seward, a charming seacoast town about one hour from the Riverside Lodge. Spend this day out on Resurrection Bay, trying to hook a prized, hard-fighting silver salmon. Head back in the evening to enjoy a beer on the deck and a delicious, four-course dinner. Overnight at Kenai Riverside Lodge.
Your final day of fishing with us means heading back to Resurrection Bay, this time to try your hand for a world-record halibut. Enjoy amazing mountain views and marine wildlife sightings while you're in the Bay. Spend the evening on your cozy cabin's front porch and a wood-fired sauna this evening. Overnight at Kenai Riverside Lodge.
After breakfast on the day of your departure, keep an eye open for wildlife on the ride to Anchorage, arriving by noon. We're happy to drop you off at the airport or your Anchorage area hotel.

Our newly renovated log lodge is the perfect place to enjoy a fine meal and trade stories at the day’s end. Eight guest cabins are nestled in the trees surrounding the main lodge, each exhibiting the rustic charm of an Alaskan pioneer cabin (as well as the modern comforts of heat, electricity and a private bath). Cabins also feature private front porches and Adirondack chairs. Only a few paces away from your cabin door, you’ll find the upper Kenai River – the best in sockeye salmon, silver salmon, rainbow trout and Dolly Varden fishing.
In addition to trophy fishing with our expert guides, there will be many opportunities to relax with a pint of Alaska micro brew or a glass of wine in our lounge. After dinner, many guests gather on the spacious riverside deck to trade fishing tales or relax in the wood-fired sauna.

Alaska State Fish and Game Bag Limits
Alaska Wildland Adventures and Kenai Riverside Fishing strictly adhere to all regulations pertaining to restrictions, harvest, and catch and release limits of all fish species as mandated by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. From time to time, we may establish even stricter company policies with regard to catch limits and catch and release if it is deemed to follow best practices for the continued sustainability of certain species. In these situations, company policy shall supersede state regulations, and these policies may be implemented at any time, even during the course of the current season, depending upon the species and the situation.
We believe this approach is in the best interest of the conservation and perpetuation of Alaska’s fish populations and the surrounding ecosystem upon which fish species depend. Upon booking a fishing trip with us, you agree to comply with these policies.
