Alaska Wildland Adventures (AWA) was recently awarded a Best Tour Operator Award in the 2024 Newsweek Readers’ Choice Awards contest. Placing in the number four position based on votes by the public, this award recognizes AWA’s long tradition of providing high-quality, small group adventures exploring the Kenai Peninsula and Denali National Park. The nominations for each Newsweek Readers’ Choice Awards category is made by a panel of travel experts, with the final list of nominees chosen by Newsweek editors. Once the nominees are chosen, the public votes digitally for 28 days through the Newsweek website and is promoted across Newsweek’s digital assets and social media. At the end of the week, votes are tallied for the Best Tour Operator Award (as well as the other award categories), and winners are notified and announced shortly thereafter. Newsweek is a global media organization that reaches 100 million people each month with news, opinion, images, graphics, and video delivered across a dozen print and digital platforms and has operated for more than 90 years.
