Fishing

Since 1977, we’ve been guiding guests on Alaska fishing trips on the Kenai River. Our years of experience fishing both the upper and lower sections of the river has earned us the reputation as the fishing leader on the Kenai, and we take pride in sharing our experiences with all our guests.

Our fishing trips offer a world-class, well-rounded fishing experience! We possess limited entry permits that allow us to fish the premium waters of the upper Kenai River in the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge (home to sockeye salmon, silver salmon, rainbow trout and Dolly Varden). We’re also permitted to fish the lower Kenai for king and silver salmon.

We offer additional opportunities to fish for world-record halibut in Resurrection Bay. When you fish with us, you’ll have the opportunity to sample various species, techniques, boats and scenery; or you can choose to focus on your favorite kind of fishing every day of your sportfishing adventure.

In the waters we fish, the bite can happen all day long, and we want to maximize your chances of landing the fish! Two of the strategies we use:

  • Getting on the water early
  • Staying on the water for a full eight-hour day

We find these to be two of the many reasons that our guests come back grinning in the evening with successful fish tales to tell (and fillets to freeze), and why so many of our guests choose to come back to fish with us!

Most of our amazing fishing guides have been coming back every summer for years, and we love when returning guests request a special guide. How do these years of experience translate into a benefit to you? Your guide has already honed their skills on these waters, will teach you their special angling tips and tricks, and set you up with the best producing baits, lures and flies. Whether you’re an accomplished angler or a recreational fisherman, our guides look forward to putting you on the fish!
