HOME ALASKA TRIPS ALASKA MAP WHY US? PREPARE TO GO RESERVATIONS

"I was in the dining facility early one morning as the chef was preparing for a 4:15 a.m. breakfast. I didn't realize that anyone moved that fast and efficiently so early. Our hiking guide was well versed with the flora of the area and took time to point out things that we might otherwise have overlooked. She was also very patient with me when I slowed us down several times to take close up photographs of the flowers. Because this was a graduation gift for my youngest son (from high school), I wanted something which would give us some good exposure to different sorts of experiences in Alaska. This trip did that and did it well. It was especially reassuring to me to see how our guides respected the beauty of Alaska and kept us mindful of our responsibility to that. I have already recommended your package to others."

Kenai & Denali Alaska Journey

Experience the highlights of the Last Frontier in only six days. This all-inclusive itinerary focuses on two spectacular regions: the Kenai Peninsula and Denali National Park. The turquoise waters of the Kenai River serve as your path to the remote Kenai Backcountry Lodge where exciting activities such as guided sea kayaking and hiking await. From here, journey north to Denali National Park. Leave the crowded park entrance behind and venture deep into the Kantishna region of the park, your home for two nights. Seek out Denali's famed Dall sheep, moose, caribou and grizzlies along the way. Perfect as a stand-alone vacation or an ideal complement to an Alaska cruise vacation, the Kenai & Denali Journey offers the best of Alaska in less than a week.

Top 5 Reasons to Choose the Kenai & Denali Journey

  1. Contrast the snowcapped peaks, emerald waters and marine wildlife of the Kenai Peninsula with Denali National Park's sweeping landscapes and famous wildlife: grizzlies, caribou, Dall sheep, moose and more.
  2. Overnight at two remote backcountry lodges and experience the Alaskan wilderness in its natural state.
  3. Raft the scenic Kenai River, hike over the alpine tundra, paddle a kayak over a glacially formed lake, gold pan or mountain bike -- all in a week.
  4. Extend your adventure for an additional night at the beautiful Kantishna Roadhouse and add-on a flightseeing tour of the Alaska Range to get "up close and personal" with Mount McKinley.
  5. Ride the scenic rails from Denali to Anchorage traveling through many roadless valleys in the comfort of a historic rail car.
