Campground Manager

Alaska Wildland Adventures is seeking a mature and dynamic individual to fill the position of Campground Manager for our Kenai Riverside Campground. Nestled on the banks of the world-famous (and absolutely stunning) Kenai River, the Kenai Riverside Campground calls the charming community of Cooper Landing, Alaska home.

Primary duties for this position are:

  • "Live-in" manager at the Kenai River Campground
  • Innkeeper for the Campground's small Bed and Breakfast style accommodations
  • Supervision of campground's 2 seasonal staffers
  • Reservationist for advance and walk-in sales for the Kenai Riverside Campground as well as AWA's day trip rafting and fishing on the Kenai River
  • Maintenance and light housekeeping as needed
  • Ability to live and work in a communal, camp-like atmosphere

This position runs from May 15 to September 30 with some flexibility. Campground Manager will be required to work 5 days out of each week (including some weekends and holidays). Pay is DOE. The Campground Manager is expected to be "on-call" to answer camper questions and deal with emergencies whenever they are present on-site.

Campground Manager will receive a complimentary RV site (if applicable) with utilities for the duration of employment. For employees without an RV, housing will be provided at no charge. The manager also receives a complimentary Kenai Canyon full-day raft trip or fishing trip with Alaska Wildland Adventures and 2-night stay at remote, boat-in only Kenai Backcountry Lodge.
