"The Explorer Safari was a great mix of boating, camping, lodging, hiking... a perfect combination to experience Alaska. Our 9 & 12 year old children were equally awed by the adventure. AWA was extremely accommodating to their food & adventure desires. We've never eaten that well camping!! The 4 guides were the very best we could have imagined! We will highly recommend AWA to our friends." ~ Lisa, Mike, Tess & Liam M. |

Alaska Explorer Journey |
For those travelers seeking an authentic - and educational - Alaska experience, we introduce a twist on our original trip. When we started operating tours more than 30 years ago, we explored most national parks by tent. This nine-day journey visits all our favorite places but replaces camping with the comforts of Alaskan lodging. Visit our original Kenai Riverside Lodge, the wilderness of the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge with two nights at Kenai Backcountry Lodge and a special adventure in Denali National Park.
