Arrival: Plan to arrive in Alaska at least the day before your trip begins and plan to overnight in Anchorage. On the first day of your trip, your Trip Leader will meet you at the Inlet Tower Suites at 10:00 a.m.

Day 1: Meet your Trip Leader in the lobby of the Inlet Tower Suites at 10:00 a.m. This morning, we will travel to the charming seacoast town of Seward. Upon arrival, visit the Alaska SeaLife Center or explore the waterfront of this All-American town. In the afternoon, explore the coastline by sturdy sea kayak for a casual paddle (no experience necessary). Scan for curious sea otters and other marine wildlife during this active adventure. Tonight, share stories with fellow travelers over dinner and overnight at the Seward Windsong Lodge. (L, D)

Day 2: On the second day of your coastal adventure, board a small ship bound for the Northwestern Glacier inside Kenai Fjords National Park. The full-day tour includes an on-board lunch while visiting a tidewater glacier and exploring Aialik Bay. Search for marine wildlife such as sea otters, puffins (and many other bird species), harbor seals, Steller sea lions, and whales. Overnight at Seward Windsong Lodge. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Begin your journey to the historical town of Talkeetna, mountaineering gateway to the Alaska Range. Take an optional flightseeing tour of Mount McKinley (Denali) and its adjacent glacial canyons or wander through "downtown" Talkeetna and learn about mountaineering and Talkeetna's history. Overnight at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge. (B, L, D)

Day 4: Continue traveling north to Denali National Park. Enjoy a Denali Wildlife Drive while traveling the full length of the restricted access Denali Park Road. Watch for caribou, moose, Dall sheep, grizzly bears, resident & migratory birds, and weather permitting, the tallest peak in North America, Denali. Upon arrival at Kantishna Roadhouse, have dinner and settle into your cozy cabin accommodations deep within Denali National Park. (B, L, D)

Day 5 & 6: Enjoy two full days of exploration and hiking in the Kantishna region of Denali National Park. The activities available at the Kantishna Roadhouse include guided hikes, natural history programs, and dog sled demonstrations. Optional flightseeing tours may be offered during your stay at the lodge. Overnight at Kantishna Roadhouse. (B, L, D)

Day 7: Following an early breakfast, embark on another Denali Wildlife drive and watch for wildlife while heading for the entrance of the park. Say farewell to your Trip Leader and board the Alaska Railroad back to Anchorage (or Fairbanks - Ask our reservation staff), arriving approximately at 8:30 p.m. Lunch, dinner and transfers not included. Lunch and dinner are available for purchase on the train. (B)

Departure: Plan to arrive at the Anchorage train depot by approximately 8:30 p.m. on the last day of your journey. We recommend you spend this night in Anchorage.
