Alaska Coast to Denali Journey: Introduction to Birding

Each summer, thousands of birds migrate to Alaska, including the amazing Arctic Tern, which has the longest recorded migration of any bird on the planet (about 25,000 miles from Antarctica to Alaska). In this special journey, gain new understanding on birding basics and learn how to best spot, identify and classify various bird species in Kenai Fjords and Denali National Parks. In addition to the special birding emphasis, this journey also includes amazing wildlife viewing for land mammals and marine wildlife, plus great adventures in nature through guided hikes, kayak trips and small boat explorations. The adventure requires no previous experience; novice to advanced birders welcome.
